Bruno Falco
Christchurch Bakels Tutor
I was born in France near Paris and I acquired my professional skills at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris in 1981 where I qualified in 1983 as a Pâtissier, Chocolatier, Glacier and Confiseur.
After graduating, I worked in England for nine years and Australia for eight years working in luxury collection Hotels like the Sheraton on the Park and the ANA Hotel. In 2002 I arrived in New Zealand and opened my own bakery in Christchurch called the Parisien (the man from Paris).
In 2004 I competed in Australia for The Baking Industry Association New Zealand competition and came back with gold medal (go the South Island!). Over the years I worked for several different bakeries before joining the Bakels team.
When I am not baking, I love playing Pétanque. I’ve been privileged to represent New Zealand in four international competitions (so just a beginner). My favourite pleasure is sharing good food with family and friends.
